I just finished watching A Friend of the Family and immediately followed up with A Friend of the Family-True Evil, a miniseries and documentary based on real life events.

I was thinking to myself – what were those parents thinking? How could they let their little girl go off with this full grown man like that?

And it didn’t hit me until this morning that my own parents would have fallen for the same bullshit.

My parents let a full grown man “go check on me” after I went inside to change from swimming. At least he was the known “Candy Man”, run-of-the-mill church going, God-fearing son-of-a-bitch.

My parents left me alone-Every.Fucking.Sunday-with a known ex-convict, so they could basically go focus on arts-and-crafts.
